We will have lunch at The Office Restaurant and then enjoy Foam Frenzy, Bumper Cars, rides, games and prizes at the ever-popular Funplex.

We will stay at Glenwood and bring the activities to us! Gather at Glenwood. Bring in lunch from Wendy’s and eat picnic-style. Teachers and supplies will come from Snapology for a 2 hour workshop on creative building and robotics using Legos. This should be an excellent class. In any spare time, we will have our own fun and games and prizes.

The Game Vault in Morristown with lunch at Mama’s Old World Meatballs & Pizza. We will take a school bus for this trip. We suddenly had 9 children sign up in the last few days. So although we still don’t have enough children to pay all the expenses of the trip, we decided that it would not be advisable to attempt to take 20 children by train to Morristown.

There’s no better way to kick off spring than a beautiful day at the boardwalk!  We’ll tour the Jenkinson’s Aquarium, have some pizza on the boardwalk while breathing in that salty, fresh air and then have fun at the arcade with prepaid game cards. If we have time, we’ll play some games on the beach (far from the water!) to get some exercise before the bus trip home.

An interesting, stimulating and refreshing trip. After a stop at Millburn Deli to get a picnic lunch of sandwich, drink and snack, we will head to Gateway National Park for an exploration of the Marsh and Ocean Environments lead by a marine biologist. We will don wading boots and explore the marsh, seashore and tide pool ecology. Using a seine, we will capture and examine marine life. We will be at the water’s edge, but we will not go in more than the water’s edge.

Please let us know if your child will be at SAM that day or will be absent.

SEND COSTUME

Students attending SAM will arrive at SAM, have a short recess, snack and homework. At 4:15 we will go trick-or-treating around the school neighborhood in groups of about 5 students and a teacher. We will return to SAM at 5:45.

If you plan to pick up before 5:45, please let us know so we will bring your child back to school. Mr. Shutte will be in the Multipurpose Room that afternoon, coordinating the phone and early pick-ups.

This day only: Drop-off and Pick-up will be at Dunkin Donuts on MILLBURN AVENUE in downtown Millburn

An interesting and intricate morning class at the bakery on making beautiful handcrafted fondant critters for our cupcakes. We will then, weather permitting, take a refreshing, easy hike in the S Mountain Reservation. After we’ve worked up an appetite, we will have a salad and pasta lunch at Gian Marco. We will end the day viewing the excellent upcoming movie “Doolittle”.

Genius Gems, Millburn. Arrive at Glenwood, walk to Short Hills train station, train to Millburn, walk to Lee’s Asian Grill for hibatchi lunch. Walk to Genius Gems for a session of fun and creative challenges. At the end of the session, we will walk to Dunkin Donuts, Millburn Ave. for snack and pick-up.

Super popular trip! Great, safe winter snow fun! Sit in a large inflated inner tube and get pulled up a big hill, then slide down in a path carved out of the snow. Similar to sledding, but a more comfortable, softer seat, no steering required since the tube stays in the path and path has a soft stop. Get a longer ride than an ordinary hill and no need to trudge back up pulling a sled. Lunch on the way there at McDonald’s, and snack on the trip home. Plenty of adult supervision. Exhilarating, outdoor fun!
